Nanjiang City in Nanjiang Province is a beautiful coast city. Some ill people take advantage of its predominant geographical location to violate the law by pretending to operate some export corporations. They carry out many criminal deals, such as making up value-added tax invoice, tax dodging and so on. Aiming at the rampant illegalities, a special case group is set up, organized by the State Tax Bureau of Nanjiang and formed by the deputy director general Kuang Yabei and customs offer Chang Yongbo. They take action in Nanjiang and are going to give a good beat to these criminal deals. This action is called "Acuminate Sword".
The arrival of the special case group scares some ill people, and they flee without any care of their illegal activities. When the four companies namely Shenghua, Yuanhua and so on are under investigation, the special case group finds out that the juridical persons of these enterprises are not the real bosses who are hidden behind to command the criminal deals. After the group spends some time investigating, two persons namely Sun Lang, the deputy director general of the State Tax Bureau in Dongjie County and a person nicknamed "Mage" begin to be involved in the case.
Tracking down by some clues and after a series of careful investigations, the special case group finds out that "Mage" is engaged in the criminal deal of swindling the state tax under the protection of Sun Lang. Meanwhile, he cudgels his brains for the cooperation with Xiao Feng, the general manager of Far East Commerce Corporation which is the well-known excellent and great ratepaying enterprise in Nanjiang Province. The CEO of the corporation is a hot person in Nanjiang who is also a official and celebrity here. What is “Mage”’s intention of cooperation with Far East? Refuge or other intention? The special case group is facing another severe challenge.
Everything has a root. Tracing some tiny clues, the special case group finally finds out that the "Mage" is truly Sima Lingyun and he is a commercial representative from Hong Kong WGM Corporation. The partnership with the Far East is one step of his revenging plan ever since his childhood.
The Far East Corporation is forced to close up due to tax dodging. As a result, the general manager Xiao Feng has a great hatred to Chang Yongbo and he decides to revenge himself once he has a chance. At the crucial moment, Xiao Xuenong, Xiao Feng's father comes. He also brings in a tart old story hidden for over ten years. It is so surprising that Chang Yongbo and Xiao Feng are brothers with the same father Xiao Xuenong.
The life is such a drama! When the brand new sunlight is shining over the Nanjiang Province, Chang Yongbo steps into a new adventure with his men again.
