A love before Gone with Wind

This story happened around the years of anti-Japan War in China (the year of 1937 or so). The ancient city Peking was on the verge of War. Three beautiful and lovely girls Kuang Meijiao, Yuan Hanxue and Tao Jinmei were close friends. They were in their golden ages without realizing the curtains of their fates were just lifted and they would experience legendary gathering and departing in the history.

Girl's stories always started from unexpected love affairs. The photographer Panan, just coming back from studying abroad in America fell in love with Kuang Meijiao, the daughter of ex-senator Kuang Xunfeng at the first sight. Kuang Meijiao was spoilt from her childhood. She was charming in appearance and talented in arts. Her hobby was Beijing Opera and painting. In order to realize her dream of film star, she even eloped with a man without caring her family. This caused jealousy of Kuang Xunfeng's adopted son Xu Jinqing. He was in love with Kuang Meijiao all the time. Irritated by Kuan Meijao's coldness, he accepted Yuan Hanxue's love.

Yuan Hanxue's father died early, and her mother was working as a maid in the mansion of the North Sea General Cheng Hai. Knowing his birth secret, Panan started to estrange Kuang Meijiao intentionally. He became Tao Jinmei's broker and brought her into a brand new field. Love was arising in their hearts. Cracks began to rise in the three close friends and at that time, the War broke out.

Panan was killed by someone Suman incited, and his father was in great sadness. He devoted all his money to the anti Japanese War. Facing the national calamity, Cheng Hai showed his moral integrity of a Chinese general....
