Founded in 12th December, and engaged in research, communication and development of documentary, the Documentary Committee of Radio Film and Television Association of China, is a professional authoritative organization directly substitutes to Radio Film and Television Association of China (RFTAC) under the leadership of the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT). Mr. Liu Xiliang, the former minister of SARFT, vice president of RFTAC was appointed as the honorary president of the Documentary Committee. Mr. Gaofeng, the vice president of CCTV was appointed as the president of the Documentary Committee. Mr. Gong Jijiu, the senior editor of RFTAC is the vice chairman and general secretary of the Documentary Committee.

The Documentary Committee includes Academy Research Institute，Art Creation Association，Regulation Association，and Female Director Club.
