In the era of Tianqi in the terminal Ming Dynasty, The emperor deserted the governance and the eunuch Wei Zhongxian, the head of the central secret agency, used his privilege to persecute the ministers of straightness. The panic haunted the court and nearly no one dare to oppose to him. As a result, Wei's power was greatly strengthened. Meantime, the righteous member of Donglin Faction can not bear his atrocities and secretly prepared to pull down this devil. Before long, a series of murders aimed at the Donglin Faction occurred. The head of the Donglin Faction Yanglian supported by Prince Xing,the brother of the emperor, went to Liaodong along with his adopted son Qian Jiayi. They intension was to unite the General Xiong Yanbi in Liaodong to impeach Wei Zhongxian. On the road, they met the assassin and luckily survived. But General Xiong was framed by the accusation of treason and rebellion. In the fury, the emperor instructed Wei Zhongxian to check it out. General Xiong was arrested, and Yang Lian hided in the mansion of Prince Xin but the situation became more dangerous. In order to protect Prince Xin, Yang Lian came out of the Prince Massion and accused Wei's severe guilty publicly till he was arrested by secret agents.
For rescuring General Xiong and Yang Lian, Qian Jiayi began to trace the assassin. When the facts emerged, Wei paced up to kill Xiong and Yang. At the execution ground, two masked women want to rescue the Xiong and Yang and made a big mass. But they failed eventually....
The two masked women were YangLian's friend nun MiaoYun and his adopted daughter Murong Qiu. To revenge her father, Qiu planed to assassin Wei Zhongxian.
Owing to the perfect martial arts, Wei escaped but was scared greatly. He and his confederate Kebaba considered the Princes are their critical enemies and began to provoke the conflict between the emperor and his brothers. The Ming dynasty was tumbledown....
